Super cool vibe at Upper Cup. Lots of style and great place to hang out. The coffee is made (roasted and brewed) in house and is amazing. Their sandwiches will surprise you and will be your new favorite. Wish I could visit here every day! 😄

I really dig this place. Super relaxed, light hip hop playing in the back ground, friendly staff, good coffee, one of my favorites. The espresso was really good! The barista was even nice and brought it to me since I sat down and waited and was cheeky saying "Here's your coffee my good sir", gave me laugh. But yeah, a cool place near dowton. I'll be back for sure!

Well I personally didn't go, but my wife did, to get 2 big to-go bins of coffee for a group of people because there was an all day lacrosse tournament. When she came back, she said not many people drank it. (We live in Cleveland).
Now normally I wouldn't drink coffee that's been sitting around all day, but even as a minimal coffee drinker that she is, she said it was really good. It was a Brazilian blend. I just had to try it. I warmed up a cup without creamer, which is rare for me, but it was very VERY good. So flavorful and not bitter at all. I then had another cup with creamer, but still tasted its potent flavor through the creamer.
I travel for work half the time, and if I'm ever in the area, I know exactly where to go now!
The usual Starbucks isn't bad, but there's nothing quite like a local independent roaster! Too bad I couldn't convince her to bring home some beans. I would place an online order if I could.
If I'm giving a 5/5 for a place I didn't even walk into and drank a couple cups that were THAT good even after sitting around all day (didn't even taste stale in the slightest), I would imagine you can't go wrong here.

Not a fan. Drink tasted like water down milk. I also paid for almond milk and pretty sure they gave me regular milk. very slow. Not sure how they handle it when they are busy or during the morning rush. The staff was nice

Lovely atmosphere and decent prices, but my vanilla oat milk latte was just OK - could definitely be improved with some higher quality oat milk!

I love this place. I know most of the coffee houses in Columbus and this is my favorite. The coffee is great - they roast it on site. They also serve bagels, a few sandwiches and snacks. The atmosphere is really friendly. Diverse, lively crowd. The music on rotation ranges from indie rock to reggae to free jazz to hip hop. And there are plenty of outlets to plug in my laptop. So: perfect. Also I buy the espresso here to roast at home. Best in town. Really.

I love this place! It truly feels like a true coffee house and the aroma the coffee gives off smells so good. I love the quick service and those glazed croissants. I would definitely make this place my go to coffee! #Blackowned

Went to a concert here recently (Stephen Spottswood). First time visit. Enjoyed the evening. Very intimate.

Great service, new art every several weeks. Local roasted coffee.

I live in Cleveland, and every time I come to Columbus, I make a point to stop by for a couple pounds of beans from this place. I even take a coffee order from a friend who used to live in Columbus. The coffee is always fresh roasted and tastes good. At home, I use a pour over or Aero Press method, and I like Upper Cup's Espresso and Ethiopian roasts. This business is Black owned, and the building has an amazing vibe, where all generations of people hang out. It's a great place to meet people, and seems to be always bustling, it's also possible to sit and read or do work.
