Always a great experience! Family owned & operated and everyone who enters the door leaves feeling like family. It has a long positive history in a very small community. The food is fantastic every meal.of the day. And if you're listening you may hear one of the cooks singing as he creates his satiating masterpieces. P.S. The turtle pancake is always a hit.

Very family oriented. Great mouth watering food that brings back childhood flavors. Historical landmark that welcomes any historion to amazes the past. Great place to feel home at. Belly up to the table its time to enjoy ( Jenny burgers and fries ) and more.

It may be a little jaunt from the 5, but it's entirely worth it for the biscuits. They're the best I've had in years: so good, I bought two for the road. It embraces its little country cafe status in both decor and the cozy arrangement of the space. I need not sing for one of its more charming and unexpected features, because the cook sings for himself with a clear and vibrant voice that suits his appreciation for country music. I lost track of the table conversation because it was lovely listening to him and I'm not a country music fan most of the time. If you're looking for a stop somewhere between Portland and Seattle, it's worth a try.

We are new to the area we just want to tell them a month ago and we went there for dinner one night had a great server gentleman who is very funny very upbeat and it was quite busy in there and he still took the time to check on us. Then we went for breakfast a couple of days ago and although the food was good I have the worst service. The lady that waited on us was obviously wife mother and grandmother but her attitude sucked. I really never have any encountered such rude service. I hesitate to go back to this restaurant even though it's two blocks from my house. I think I might rather drive up the road near the 5 freeway and go to that other restaurant up there.

My daughter brought me to dinner from her business in Winlock. I'm glad she chose the Little Crane. It was pleasant and comfortable. The server was polite and friendly. The food came quickly and was really good. We'll be back. Thank you!

An all American cafe!! The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing! Love Jason singing and he always makes me feel like family! Give the place 5 stars! And the prime rib is the best!!

A homey, off the beaten path, oasis of good food and hospitality.
Jason, often cooking and singing, brings good eats to the middle of nowhere with a decent Mom and Pop restaurant. Country breakfasts, and standard American meals are the daily fare here. On weekends and some holidays, however, it's a damn good prime rib dinner or even maybe steak and lobster. Yup. Took my wife there for Valentine's day.
It doesn't have that fine dining ambience of big city restaurants, but it's not in a big city. Get it?
Great wait staff and too much food.
Currently (2019), the direct path from I-5 is closed because of bridge maintenance, but I doubt too many people bother to travel that far off off the interstate to eat there. Mostly locals. But some motorcyclists I know make it a regular stop. And HAM radio enthusiasts from Ryderwood.
Good to try if you're in the area.

The woman who served us seemed disinterested in fact she seemed a little put out that me and my fiance were even there to bother her. Yes we were out of towners in a very small town, but we are clean polite people that were just in for breakfast in this homey looking little restaurant next to the railroad tracks. We were treated so coldly the we decided to have our breakfast order converted to a "to go" order before we received it. I will never spend another dime in that place.
