Excellent breakfast/lunch Cafe to stop at in Door County. Very good service, great food, and colorful atmosphere made for a wonderful stop. Not too busy on an early Spring Saturday.

Very poor service. Took 15 minutes for server to take our order and then 45 minutes for us to get our food. We were a party of 4, 2 of which were children splitting a meal. Hostess only came by once to refill coffee. Cute little diner but not worth the service. Food was also over priced and not bad but not great either.

Easy stop as u head out of Fish Creek south.
Server was an exchange student and very personable. Enjoyed their bread pudding French toast with a cherry Mimosa

Short changed and expensive to boot.
Waitress needs to learn how to give change! Was shorted a nominal amount, but when paying with cash would expect to receive at least exact change. Also in my opinion very expensive for what it was. French toast, quiche, side of breakfast potatoes and OJ & coffee ended up being $37. I don't see a reason to ever stop again.
In response to owner, no! I just adjusted my tip accordingly. Was just disappointed in portions and prices. That was the main reason for your less than "expected" 4 star review!

We visited the Village Cafe for breakfast and the food was good. The menu had a variety to choose from and our food was deliciously unique! We were a little shocked at how expensive breakfast for three people, I get it though. The tables were way too close and upon entering it was completely silent, this made the experience very awkward. Some music would be nice!

The food was absolutely excellent, and the service was even better. Coffee as soon as we walked in, felt welcomed right away. The original potato bowl and the corned beef hash were outstanding.

Wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. Charming atmosphere.

Good biscuit n gravy which came with fresh fruits. The restaurant itself was very interesting, selling goods that ranged from funny baby clothes to weird socks.

A very cozy place with a lot of local decor and ambiance. We got the Eggs Benedict, which was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was very iconic-- sweeter and more airy than is typical, it almost felt whipped. We got there about 10 minutes before it opened and were glad we did, because it got packed real fast, and our server was chipper and really friendly.

The food was great, but the server wasn't familiar with the menu and my croissant sandwich was served upsidedown.
