A lovely cafe off of a beautiful scenic route with an owner that's attentive and clearly cares - all with the small-town vibe you crave while traveling in door county.
For brunch, I asked the owner who was taking orders, to bring me her favourite meal and she provided me with the Cherry Jack Wrap which I would've never ordered on my own; honestly, to my own detriment. With intricate flavours that shouldn't work together but in reality work phenominally - paired with homemade chips that actually *are* worth writing home about - this is a hidden gem that I desperately hope I can visit again during our trip. My traveling partner got the quiche of the day and it came with a large fruit plate and muffin - and he said everything was wonderful for him as well.
From the down-home decor, even borderlining on the organized clutter of various wares and signs for sale in a delightful explosion of colour; to the surprisingly good food - this is not a cafe to pass up when you're in the door county area.

First, this place was colorful, fun, and had a cheery atmosphere right from the start. We came for late breakfast, I had the quiche of the day which comes with fresh fruit and a perfectly moist muffin. The serving size was perfect and the food was deliciously fresh! My hubby got an equally satisfying breakfast. We loved it so much we skipped our previous plans for the next day and ate here again! This restaurant is one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Door County vacation again soon. Also, it's open every day of the year!!! No disappointments here, 5 stars from us!

Wonderful atmosphere, great service, and wonderful food!
The Original Potato bowl was one of the best meals we had during our stay in DC. The Bread Pudding French Toast was also phenomenal, but fair warning: It's a very heavy meal (I mean, it's bread pudding :D)
Absolutely recommend (and we're going back tomorrow)! :D

Nice little spot to get breakfast! Food is good and place has a good feel to it. I’ll come again. Coffee cake is a must have a long with the quiche.

Service good. Disliked that we could not have separate checks. Will not return.

We had a great breakfast at the Village Cafe while on vacation. The food was delicious and service was top notch! We had a friendly and enthusiastic server (working at the restaurant on a summer VISA from Croatia) - sad I didn’t get her name but we truly enjoyed talking with her while she served us! The breakfast experience exceeded our expectations! A++

Should have tried the biscuits and gravy
