Food was delicious! They have a few unique dishes. And the atmosphere is very bright and cheerful! The coffee was outstanding! I had one of the potatoe bowl the original one, it was great. They boyfriend had eggs benedict that was yummy, and my son had the french toast which was also very good! We will be back 😁

Service was great, everyone was so friendly to our group. We ate breakfast for a late lunch. Food was average, but still tasted good. Seemed ok until it hit us that evening. Both my husband and I came down horribly ill with stomach ailments. This was the only place we had ate at that day, and the only people who became ill were the ones who had eggs during their meal.

A work buddy took me up there,he said it was a good spot. Our waitress Carla was good, definitely glad she was our waitress for my first time up there we went about 12-1pm it was pretty quiet there but everything is mostly quiet here in Sturgeon Bay and Eggharbor and Sister Bay this time of year. Nice food selection.my friend said to get whatever I want because it's all good.he got the eggs Benedict and I got this egg scramble veggie wrap,it was excellent also as an appetizer we got their butter pecan coffee cake and their raspberry coffee cake both we excellent and Large,it was more than both of us could eat,so I took the left overs home.cant wait to enjoy some tomorrow!!! I'll definitely go back there.

Food was so—so. Service could have been better. Was expecting something amazing for a place tha charges $15 for a basic breakfast.

We've been going here for 15 years and it's always been our favorite breakfast place on the peninsula. Unfortunately, today the service was extremely slow even though the place was empty. We waited over an hour for 4 omelettes and 2 orders of pancakes. We were also surprised to find the serving sizes were very small compared to last year so, we're not sure if this place has changed hands since last year or what's happened. Anyway, I'm not going to give a bad review just because of one bad experience. This is normally a great place and worth another chance.

The quality was all over the place.
As other reviews have pointed out, the glassware and silverware didn't look particularly clean, but it was probably mostly just water marks. My glass did have a pretty large green spot, though.
The atmosphere and staff seemed nice enough. There are a ton of themed items hanging around the tables that they're selling.
Everyone was friendly, and the other guests sitting near us were fun!
I had the corned beef Eggs Benedict. The corned beef is actually small little crumbles instead of being shredded or a slice, which was kind of offputting and made it difficult to appreciate. The hollandaise was a little heavier with a strong butter flavor. They give you a lot, which is great! The poached eggs were small but had more runny yolk than you'd initially expect. The English muffin could have been toasted a bit more, but overall it was pretty good. I just wouldn't recommend the corned beef variant.
The fruit bowls were pretty disappointing, too. A lot of the grapes were half crushed, and some looked old. The melon pieces were mostly rind. The other fruits were okay!
The bran muffin was pretty good and moist, but there were just a few egg shell bits in it.
The (cherry?) jam was really good, and so was the bacon. No complaints there!
The service was pretty slow. It took over 40 minutes for our food, and just over 20 for our waitress to come back and tell us they didn't have the quiche of the day they told us they had. I get it taking longer for certain items like quiche, but it's still worth noting.
The bathrooms were pretty obnoxious too. I don't normally complain about things like this, but the faucets were those push-down ones, and they only last like 2 seconds until you have to push it again.

I’ve only had breakfast here 30 times or so, but, I have no desire to eat elsewhere when I’m in DC. Whether I’m in Ephraim, Fish Creek, (yes the Wh Gull Inn is charming) but Village Cafe tops my list. I tell everyone who’s new or old to DC.

Loved this place so much went here twice. Can't say enough about staff. Food was hot and fresh. Prices were fair and portions good. Will return.
