Service: 4.5/5
Food: 3/5
So much hype for this place but I was a little disappointed. Note that they only have fried chicken to go during brunch hours.
All food items are for family sharing. If any guests have allergy, they'll do substitute as an alternative. The price is fair for the set menu but I wish the food isn't too complex and can have more cooking preparation.
Bread served cold. The appetizer tastes like salad dressing and it's a cold soup. The cheese item doesn't stand out (they do offer fruit plate as a substitute). Dessert is way too sweet and none of us finished it.
We want to get soft shell crab as an add-on but it's out of stock. They got us the chicken liver mousse instead. It's okay but not surprising. The skirt steak is the only thing that we liked.
The wine and cocktails don't stand out either.
If you can't get a reservation at this place, I don't think you miss much. Also if you come hungry, you'll leave hungry too.

Quick Summary
Great food, ambiance and service. Simple foods prepared in expert fashion. Prix fixe menu is required per seat for table reservations, but can order a la carte at the bar. The menu changes daily, but the most notable dishes were the fried chicken and the beef cheek.
Food- 5 stars
Every dish was spectacular. Probably one of the best fried chicken I've had, as they used dark meat only and the skin was so crunch and rich. Every dish was simple (e.g. potato salad, fried chicken) but was done so well that it was the best I've had for each dish. Large portions, so would be best to split the prix fixe menu between 2 if you have the option
Service- 5 stars
The service was solid throughout. Our bartender, Vincent, was helpful with the menu (add on options) and drink choices
Ambiance- 5 stars
Well ventilated, well lit, and bustling. Enjoyed the experience throughout
Bottom Line
Great food, drinks and service. Will be coming back!

The food here is very very good, especially the caviar and the pork. Although the peas dish is not good, and not sure if the honey mustard goes well with cheese. Would come back again for the pork chop dish, its to die for. Best American way of pork cooking. We had a great experience overall.

We went here for our marriage anniversary! The food was very good. We loved everything there except the family that was next to us. They were very loud and drunk for a being in a fine dinning restaurant. Luckily we were able to enjoy our desert once they were kicked out. Would definitely try it out again.

So happy that i could ate here. Everything in the restaurant was 5 stars. Service. Ambiance. Food selection. Wines. They dive you a four course menu and everything is good. Every plate have layers of flavors. Perfect seasoning. They know why the charge what they charge.

Stopped here on a whim. It was packed but able to get a couple of seats at the bar. The oxtail and BBQ chicken were both amazing and full of flavor. Bartender was also very nice and made a good old fashioned.

$45 per person for table dine in: salad+BBQ beef and potatoes + deserts. food so-so, not my cup of tea. Extra: one hair in the BBQ plate… didn’t found it at the beginning. The waitress provided a new plate without hesitation, deserved 1 start. Food on photos were for 4 ppl, not one. Fried chicken was an option cost $30 five pieces. Didn’t take desert photo tho. Overall $75+ per person for this?! Forgot to say, they still charged us the BBQ dish … it’s a life lesson to me and my friends but you can AVOID.

Super upgraded bar food.
Salad was good, we loved buttery corn appetizer, then fish and chips came in - it was later soggy and not the best experience..
My biggest disappointment was, stick of cheese was in the course menu....
Before the dessert.
And it was chèvre cheese.
The strong taste of it was really not ideal to welcoming dessert, which if I was able to choose I wouldn't have order it.
(But it was in the course menu)
We were there by 17:00, and bar got very noisy by 17:30, people are singing and kind of dancing, bit intimidating for going through that to the bathroom.
This place is good as a upgraded bar I think.
But after three wineries visit we were bit tired and was difficult to enjoy the situation.
Hope this review would helps.

We throughly enjoyed our dinner at ad hoc. The vibe was welcoming and the service was attentive. Every single item from the menu was delicious. We were served grilled Cesar salad, crispy buttermilk fried chicken with potato salad and baked beans, cheese board, and brownie with banana ice cream. The portion was generous and we ended up bringing a couple pieces of the fried chicken home because we wanted to make room for dessert. We also got the wine pairing and we thought they were on point. Except for the sweet dessert wine, however, we are not a fan of sweet wine generally.

Unfortunately my worst experience at Ad Hoc over the handful of times I’ve been.
The restaurant was packed- the servers looked like they were struggling because they were swamped or overworked. Our server was prompt but not personable.
Drinks took forever and were subpar (so yes do not order)
The food. The highlight was prob the additional caviar. Then it crashed and burned. The salad was OVER salted my lips were burning and it wasn’t just because of the citrus. Salt was used profusely and unfortunately overpowered everything. The tomatoes were ruined- you could tell it was delicious heirloom tomatoes that were so salty it tasted like I was biting into pure salt.
The chicken Milanese- also just dry (chicken breast as expected) and of course- salty.
Dessert was not memorable.
Like a previous review stated: if you can’t get a reservation, count yourself lucky.
