How does this place have a Michelin star? So strange. Steak was chewy and flavorless. Broccoli salad that could be served at Panera Bread. The hot dog was delicious and the dessert was good, but that’s it. Maybe we got got by a tourist trap. Avoid.

Your entrée tonight was chicken fried steak. I decided to book dinner because I grew up in Texas and I loved chicken fried steak as as kid growing up. We live in the valley and have been to Ad Hoc many times but tonight was a disaster. The tomato soup was fair but really too thick. The entrée, chicken fried steak in a gravy on greens was just a salty glop. The fried steak was cooked to death. It pains me to write such a bad review on what has been consistently a good place to eat. The cheese and spiced honey was nice, And the apple crisp was well, apple crisp. Please don’t try chicken fried steak again. You just don’t know how to make it.

What's not to love about this place? Fantastic food served family-sharing style, very friendly staff and an amazing vibe. They didn't have the drink I wanted but they substituted it with an equally great cocktail.

Overall, this place was great.
Taste - It was not a fancy food. Plates were simple.
I felt like an American homemade food made by fresh local ingredients. The ingredients are in harmony.
Salad was really good. Fresh vegetables and fruits with great sauce.
BBQ meat was good.
Shrimp plate was my favourite. Well-made sauce with shrimp and bread was really great.
But the dessert brownie was too sweet. It made me forgot previous plates

Delicious iceberg salad, fried chicken with two sides, truffle mac n cheese, pierre robert with fresh biscuits, and pineapple upside down cake with coconut lime sorbet. But it was pricey. $600 for four people which included the food, drinks and tip.

Only one word to describe my feeling about having brunch at Ad Hoc today - sensational! The food is delicious for sure. On the top of that, there's a thing that I really need to shout out is one of the waitresses was so thoughtful because she took an initiative to give water to our pet. Biggest thank you!

Lots of good food. We didn't eat it all as some of the flavors were just too strong. Honnestly wait staff guided us. Would absolutely go back

Absolutely spectacular food at no frills atmosphere. I grabbed drinks at the bar to wait (I had no reservation) and the cocktails were one of the best I had in my life. Some employees seemed a bit less cordial than others, but all of our servers were nice as well. Wish I could return soon.

This place is more than fantastic! This is our second time there and we can’t get enough of it. Food is extremely fresh and perfectly cooked with amazing taste. The service is impeccable and friendly. The salad, oh my, that salad is out of what dreams are made of. It’s delicious, tasty (those grilled capers!!!) we’ll seasoned. They won me over at the salad already. The rest of the food was also delicious and fresh. They do a price fixe brunch that is well worth it.

Placed an online order of a bucket of fried chicken and their 4 course prefix menu. We pulled up and received our order, but to our surprise the dinner we picked up did NOT match the items listed for the specific date we purchased. When asking one of the employees about this, they just said “yeah if your order early, the menu can change” and shrugged.
If that’s the case, the menu shouldn’t be listed for the 4 course meal for order.
We also didn’t get utensils so needed to ask for those. The course had soup in it...but we only got forks and knives...so we ate it with a fork and drank the broth. 🤷🏻♀️
Although that portion of the experience was not pleasant, the food itself tasted great! Their fried chicken is well seasoned and the items on the 4 course menu was tasty. If I knew what was on the fixed menu that day, probably would’ve ordered our own sides separately.
Our menu: vegetable soup, pork, cauliflower with brown butter sauce, mashed potato, cheese, and lemon meringue tart.
**don’t place your order in advance online**just be aware that your order can change and there isn’t much you can do about it.
