I made a reservation, but just in case, I entered the restaurant as the first customer at 12 o'clock, the store opening time.
The indoor dining atmosphere is surprisingly very noisy. People's conversations grew louder and louder.
The most famous signature fried chicken was the best, and the pork was just so-so.
The cheese plate was disappointingly shabby. Their bread was nice to say they came from Bouchon Bakery, a famous Napa bakery.
However the desserts (cherry tarts) are not very special.
And the price of $120/2 adults for a lunch course is not very attractive.
They provide children's chairs but no children's tableware.
There is parking for about 10-14 cars behind the building, but if there are a lot of people, you will have to park on the street.
It is a restaurant worth visiting at least once.

We came here for lunch before we started wine tasting. What a great start for our day! Meals were served family style so we weren't really sure what portions would be like for 2 of us.

*Minestrone soup (starter) it's a big bowl of soup, tasty. It could be a meal of its own.
*Grilled tri-tip just melts in your mouth. Seasoned well and so tender.
*Garlic polenta (side) delicious, but I love polenta. So if your a fan you will love it. My husband doesn't eat polenta :/
*Broccolini (side) was good we both finished it
*Fried chicken (add on) we weren't sure to get it... too much food but we're so happy we did! It was delicious. It was moist inside and crisp on the outside. My husband said the breast was a little dry compared to the dark meat.
*lemon ricotta cake slice, the perfect amount of sweet to end our meal.

We had great attentive service and the food was delicious. We would definitely return.

We went here for a Valentine Day's dinner, but was slightly disappointed by the atmosphere. I guess we were hoping for a more romantic setting but this place was rocking loud music. So loud I had to inform the wait staff to raise her voice, because I couldn't hear her well. The restaurant itself seems like a nice place to bring clients/coworkers over, but probably not so much for a romantic date night. Also, putting black truffles over a dish doesn't necessarily elevate the taste.

Ad Hoc in Yountville is an exceptional dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable culinary adventure. My overall impression of the restaurant was excellent, and I can honestly say that my friends and I had a fantastic time celebrating my birthday there.

The fixed menu at Adhoc is a real treat, as it allows you to try a variety of dishes without having to make too many decisions. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was simply outstanding. The spinach salad was a great starter and really set the tone for the rest of the meal. The herb-roasted chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the pasta amatriciana was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

One thing that really impressed me about Ad Hoc was the casual and comfortable atmosphere. Despite the high-quality food and service, the restaurant had a relaxed vibe that made it feel like you were just having dinner with friends. In fact, the courses are served family style. This is a rare quality to find in a fine dining establishment, and it really added to the overall experience.

Another highlight of our meal was the wine pairing. Each course was expertly paired with a wine that really brought out the flavors of the dishes. It was the perfect add-on to an already incredible meal.

Finally, the cheese platter and spumoni cupcake were the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The pecorino toscano stagionato was rich and the spumoni cupcake was the perfect combination of light and sweet.

Overall, I would highly recommend Adhoc to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and it made for a truly memorable birthday celebration.

Not sure where to begin but Ad Hoc is an experience that everyone should enjoy. I came here with a large group of friends and we all did the tasting menu which rotates everyday. The waitstaff was willing to work with us to substitute out options that we did not want and was kind enough to bring more food if we weren’t completely full. I think for the price, this is one of the best deals you can get. The fried chicken is amazing and probably my favorite option here. Definitely came out completely satisfied.

This place had been on my ‘want to go’ list for some time now, and after recently going, it earned a spot on my favorites! I loved the vibe and the way the food was brought out family-style. Although you may not know what food options await due to the ad-hoc nature of their menu, you won't be disappointed with the quality, presentation, and portion size of what you receive.

We were very glad with our particular menu. And while we love doing set menus, we looked at others the next few days, and they weren't quite as appealing. Aim for a day that they offer the fried chicken, as I've heard it's delicious.

Service is very bad. Just because another table look like they are rich or can spend a lot, you know what I mean, our waiter ignored us the entire time (we spent $250 for 2 people tho). Waiting between courses was long and he only check our table once during our 2 hour dinning, we saw he’s checking other tables frequently. Also we asked to box the food we cant finish, he never brought our boxed food back, but we just left as we don’t want to wait in the chilly wind any longer.
Dinner menu food is above average just not outstanding , but the service is so bad that it’s absolutely not worth the visit.

They are known for their fried chicken, so I recommend getting a bucket to go as well! The chicken has a hint of herbal taste to it, I didn't appreciate it the first time. But I've been craving it more and more ever since!

Delicious restaurant in Yountville! Had an 8:30 outdoor reservation which was definitely a lucky call to avoid the heat of the day. Staff very friendly and food was AMAZING. The servings, while family style, do seem a tad on the larger side, so make sure that you are HUNGRY before coming. A different menu everyday but I would have faith that whatever they churn out would be great.
