Sputnik Coffee Company

So happy to have a local roaster in our area. We stop by frequently to fill all our coffee needs. The guys who own, it run it, and I love them! Ask them anything and they will teach you about the coffee process. I love too that they will grind my beans to my order: French press, cold brew, drip, etc. I stopped getting the 5lb bag because I like going there more often to get the freshest roast. Example: I went there on the 14th and bought 5 bags just roasted on the 11th!! You CANNOT get that sort of freshness at the grocery store or Starbucks! Make sure to get a cold brew with vanilla sweet cream. SO good! *drool*

They're just starting out, but their coffee is excellent. I'm hoping for sandwiches and maybe a hummus plate soon. Their hibiscus water is unsweetened which I really appreciate, it tasted like the real thing not some koolaid version I've had in some restaurants. Their bathroom was very clean. 👍

Very good tasting coffee! I'm a regular here. Best place to come for the freshest cup of coffee! Very friendly service every time. Pay them a visit. They roast their own coffee and supply to other restaurants in Chicago.

Good latte, it was not too bitter or sweet. I has a chill enough environment to either sit and talk or work on something. The brownies are bomb too, definitely try it if you have a sweet tooth. I would go back definitely when in outside of downtown Chicago.

Great to see a high quality business in the neighborhood where I had grown up in the '50s. I now buy their coffee at a grocery in Riverside but it was well worth a visit for a coffee and muffin.
The interesting part is that I am old enough to clearly remember the actual Sputnik.

Great coffee, great vibe in the place, the owners are super-nice and friendly and passionate about their coffee and business!
So nice to see such a great budding business - I'll be looking for their success and when they'll expand (and they will) I'll be able to say I was there when they started :)

As a broke college student, this place is highly affordable. There guys there are great and definitely know how to make a strong cup of joe. I use to go to starbucks until I discovered Sputnik by accident. There's definitely more of a sense of community here. They're patio outside makes me never want to leave!!!! I definitely recommend this place over any other coffee shop. Come check it out for yourself!

Really Good Coffee. The pastries are delicious and delivered fresh daily. They roast their own coffee. You can taste the difference. 1.75 for a coffee is reasonably priced.

Stylish coffee roastery and shop. They are roasting their Sputnik brand coffee right there too, so it is possible to see the roasting machine or even the process. Depending on your luck. Spoiler alert - Sputnik coffee makes very rich foam even with straightforward espresso in our Breville coffee machine :)
