"We were in fact short staffed! And as helpful as you might think this review might be, it’s not. It for one, does not help our staffing issue if we are rated poorly. Secondly, we treat and give time to each guest and do not discount our interactions because of the line. Furthermore this review states that you chose to wait in line and we are unprecedentedly busy. it seems if you are looking for a more timely experience you could come either earlier or later in the day. Our busy hours are denoted on google to help you find the right time."

Kaitlyn ( potential future customer ): If you're a business owner, learn to not criticize others reviews as you just did. You came off as a bit rude towards a paying customer. If it wasnt for your paying customers, you wouldn't be able to pay your rent or bills for your business. We're allowed to have an opinion whether it's a good or bad experience. That's part of what a review is for is to ensure a company can turn things around or keep a business running like they are for the betterment of the community. There's no need to be a negative nancy just because you got a bad review. It just makes you look bad as a business owner and will promote less business for your company. Instead; take a bad review with a grain of salt and make the necessary changes you need to make to ensure your company is one that ALL people will always come back to and rave about. With your type of attitude, I don't think ANYONE should come back. It's not cool to have a cocky business owner attitude as an owner of a business. That's just not good for business.

Lesson learned should be that you'll take the bad and turn it around into something good in the long run and don't let the bad reviews make you angry and your business life will be much more smooth sailing.

Texan in from out of town, and I found the right place. Baristas were very enthusiastic and kind. Had a volcan azul on filter and a single origin espresso, both great. Heavy hitter roasters on the shelves like B&W, Brandywine, Onyx, and even La Cabra.

best local coffee in columbus! Their new space is so beautiful and the perfect work environment. The guava matcha was to die for, the perfect summer flavor. I cant wait to return

Delicious small bites, and the best coffee and matcha I’ve had in a while. The sesame miso caramel latte was insane!

If you’re looking for amazing ambiance, music, and coffee, this is THE SPOT! I love that they use ethically sourced beans and fair labor practices, too. The indoors & patio are beautiful, the vegan baked goods are phenomenal, and the staff is exceptional.

Best coffee shop in Columbus by far!!! I love everything about Parable! Most delicious drinks and the best business practices! I love the community they have cultivated. All of the drinks are delicious and everyone who works there is so wonderful and kind ❤️

Good coffee and the interior design is great. I feel like many patrons would appreciate if the music wasn’t so loud. Not a very relaxing environment for reading or doing work

Loved the space, loved that the music was loud enough so conversations around me didn't distract from my studies. I didn't look too closely at their materials, but they clearly have a philosophy of outreach (I noted there was no option to tip on my order, which I'm hoping to mean they pay employees well above minimum wage).
Best of all, they had a whole menu of fancy drinks with interesting ingredients that didn't all revolve around coffee, I tried a drink with strawberry shrub that was vinegary and refreshing. They also have unique coffee drinks, like a sesame miso latte, which was quite nice.

I want to start off by saying thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality the Saturday before last, when my brother and I came in with a $100 bill and instead off worrying about breaking it you decided to just give us our order for free and it was an $11 order!!! Whoever said nothing in life is free has never been to your place. That by far was one of the best things we had ever experienced, especially that day. We had just came from a place before yours and they said they was sorry but they cant break the $100. To us that was discouraging, but when we came into your place we felt almost like family. With your policy of pay what you like, its one of the best policies a company can have. I have learned in life that you can please some of the people some of the time but you can never please all the people all of the time, even when if its free. Someone will always have something negative to say regardless on how hard you try to please them. I am not currently working (because of a bad situation) and don't have much money, but i will for sure be coming to your place again and I'll be happy to pay full price just because of how hospitable you are. You are an encouragement and it would be great to see other places follow in your footsteps. Keep up what you are doing and know there is people out there who are pleased and happy with your place. Wow! I visited Parable when it was sharing a space with Commune and I loved it then, but their downtown space is by far the most beautiful coffee shop I have ever been in. Their vanilla bean latte was absolutely incredible! Two things to note, it is downtown, so parking is quirky if you don’t work nearby and I felt a bit guilty spending $9 for a latte, but didn’t have the guts to take them up on the “pay what you like option”. I will be back, but it feels like more of a special occasion space for me.
