The food here is sooo good and the service is amazing. Been here several times with my boyfriend. Every time we go we try different things and they’re all on point. Probably our new favorite restaurant in Austin.
Shout out to the bartender from Pittsburg. We sat at the bar last night and he was extremely knowledgeable about both the food and alcohol.

One of the most creative medley of dishes I've ever had. Good cocktails but spectacular food. Everything was amazing, guacamole, camarones el Rica's, tuna tidarito, sea bass... chocolate tart. James was a great waiter, very knowledgeable.

I’ve heard so many great things about Este, and I must admit, it did not disappoint! We tried the Este Ceviche, Mixta Tostada, and the Fish Tacos. All were incredibly flavorful and reminded me of the seafood along the coast of Mexico. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some authentic Mexican seafood! Also, the cocktails are on point! My favorite was the Hoja De Blanco.

Este is a new restaurant by the Suerte people. The food is tasty with some creative dishes like Tuna carnitas. The plates are designed for sharing so go with a group! The cocktails are amazing. I'd recommend the Blue Tango Clan if you want a tiki drink with a twist

This is for Bar Toti, Este’s little tapas-y space across the court yard. ALSO MY NEW FAVORITE PLACE! They have a limited menu of classic and creative tapas, aperatives and cocktails. We tried almost every food item. Standouts included the seasoned peanuts, Spanish tortilla de patata, mussels, “smashamburguesa” and a SUPERB basque cheesecake. We’ve experienced both indoor and outdoor seating and you can’t go wrong. The waitstaff are super friendly and attentive and even the chefs came out to check on us. Really wonderful if you’re wanting something a bit more casual than Este but same delicious quality.

Great new addition to the strip of restaurants on Manor. The space is gorgeous and the masa, as always, shines. Oysters and the tiradito are a nice start and both the fish tacos and the tuna carnitas are winners. The carreta was a bit heavy on the lime, and the pescadilla shell was a lot to handle with the amount of cheese in the dish. The semi freddo has Oaxacan key lime pie vibes and was outstanding.

We have been waiting patiently for Este to open up in the former home of East Side Cafe, and wow, was it worth the wait. Walked in on opening night expecting a long wait and were happily seated right away despite the bustle and buzz. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the staff was so friendly.
True to their concept, Este's menu offers a variety of upscale and traditional Mexican seafood options cooked every which way...we started with raw oysters and ceviche which was exquisite, then tried a few fish dishes, the mushroom tacos, and a side of the eggplant. The pescado zarandeado was prepared whole and butterflied open on the plate, somehow simultaneously light and rich, rubbed with a red chile marinade and served with a cabbage slaw and a salted lime. Absolutely delicious. My 8-year-old daughter devoured the grilled squid which came on a buttery chickpea puree with, of all things, hazelnuts, which somehow worked just perfectly with the squid and creamy puree. What a treat. The trout a la pulla, pan seared and smothered in a deliciously creamy pulla crema, filled us to the brim. We, unfortunately, had no room for dessert by the end of the meal (next time).
Portions are sizable and surprisingly filling, especially with the traditional homemade tortillas. The price points vary from ~$15 to close to $100 for larger shared entrees, with the average entree in the $30 range...3 apps and 4 entrees were too much food for the 4 of us...everything was so good. For us, Este instantly rivals some of the best restaurants Austin has to offer.
East Side Cafe was one of our go-to restaurants when we first moved to Austin ~20 years ago, so entering Este brought a mix of nostalgia and wonderment at the magic they have done with that place...wide open layout, tall ceilings with exposed beams, huge windows, beautiful tile work, a long inviting bar, and lots of outdoor seating on their patio.
Met the owner on the way out...very warm friendly guy and looking forward to frequenting this new Austin gem! We asked what they were going to do with the adjacent little building (formerly Elaine's Pork and Pie) and he said it's a secret but we're going to love it.
Viva Este!

Only had three dishes but will be back for more! The Ceviche and Tuna Tiradito were our favorites. Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating options. We did not have a reservation on our weekday visit but would recommend making a Resy for busier times.

Was really to try this place, but the food was a bit of a let-down, especially considering the price. The tacos and guacamole were my favorite, but not dying to go back.

Came for some after dinner drinks. Got to sit on the deck under a tree canopy. Gorgeous, quiet and intimate. I really enjoyed the Hoja En Blanco. Very aromatic, nice and smooth.
