Cured was an amazing experience. From the interior and exterior design, to the customer service and finally the food... Wow, it was the best experience. Not to mention Brian who serviced us the whole night, he was so knowledgeable about every thing as if he was the owner, designer and chef of the place. Definitely ask for him if you visit! The food is made with so much love and the flavors are out of this world, the mixtures of fragrances, herbs, sauces, meats and everything else makes each bite the best experience in food ever! Even the deserts were to die for!

To be honest I'm torn about this place. We went for the second time to this establishment to celebrate Valentine's Day. We were greeted & seated immediately (7pm reservation). We got water quickly & menus. After that things fell off. The server was attentive for a Friday night (2-11-22) but they weren't very busy so that was helpful & nice for us. It took about 30 minutes to get our beverages. We chose their charcuterie plate to start. It was delicious minus the chicken liver mouse. We were surprised to like the smoked duck ham as much as we did. After being at the restaurant for over an hour the server finally took our orders, Heritage hog poutine & the 30 day dry aged New York strip. We ordered another round of drinks shortly later, which again took about 30min to arrive. They only came after I asked the server if their were issues with our drinks & if we needed to order somethinge else. 40min after we ordered our meal the manager came over to apologize for how long our meal was taking. We informed him that we had 9pm reservations at a nearby jazz club & he said he'd go check on the food and get it out ASAP. Less than 5 min later our food was served. My poutine was not something I normally would order but it was delicious! The pork was so tender & the cheese curds, gravy, & fries were excellent compliments. My boyfriend's steak was not as well received. While I know that quality steaks have good marbling to ensure the meat has good flavor & moisture, the $65 strip was about half fat & half meat. The flavor also wasn't anything special. He was very disappointed to say the least. I really want to like this restaurant but this experience has unfortunately soured our opinions. If their had been a wait or they were packed I'd be more understanding but as I mentioned before that was not the case. For the money we spent we hoped for a better experience. Not sure we'll be back after that.
In My Opinion
This is one of my favorites so I’m always going to have a soft spot for Cured. I love the look and feel of the place and that it’s not as snobby as it could be.
Today I went back after a very long time and it was ok overall. The quail legs are really tasty and at .50, you can’t beat it. They’re crispy, crunchy and come with a nice honey sauce. Rather than the honey being in the plate I’d like it to come in a cup. Make it feel like a wing you can dip.
The wedge salad is a lot in size so it’s filling. Great size at a great price during happy hour.
Now, the burger. This is what I first had and why I kept coming back. I remember a burger with tons of bacon jam and gooey cheese spilling over the sides. The burger than came today was just too much meat with little jam and cheese (for the quantity of meat). The fries were hot, salty and crispy!
The poutine! Ah the poutine! It’s really a lovely dish. I would have liked more crispy fries but it did have a ton of cheese and meat. The cauliflower just cuts thru all the richness which is perfect. The gravy is full of flavor.
All in all this place is one you should try. Brunch is wonderful and hopefully they bring their watermelon salad back!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Cured. This restaurant it is located in the beautiful Pearl districts in San Antonio.
We ordered the Reserve Charcuterie Plate that consisted in
Chicken Liver Mousse, Smoked Duck Ham, Apple Jalapeño Pork Rillettes, 90 Day Pork Loin, 60 Day Coppa, 60 Day Hungarian Salami, 3 different jams and bread. We really liked everything on it, I particularly loved the Hungarian salami but not the Chicken Liver mousse so much.
We also had the Beer Can PEI Mussels and the Wagyu Beef tartare, everything was really nice. The mussels plate was big enough to share.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients.
I would definitely recommend this place if you liked CURED meats :D

Not pictured was the Boudin Empanadas, it was tasty. The burgers were great and this entire review would have gotten 5 stars but we both had a few bites of salad that felt gritty like there was dirt/sand in the salad.

Such a great concept! I dined alone and sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing! She made me 2 mock-tails since I'm laying off the booze. I couldn't do the charcuterie plates justice alone so I had the boudin empanadas and the wedge salad. Both dishes were so well done, not just pretty but the flavors were complex and well executed. 100% would recommend the boudin empenadas to anyone who will listen!

Only tried the burger. If you like Wendy's you will also appreciate the flavor of the burger here. Although a bit higher on the price side, you get more fries...I would not come here for the burger as there are far better burgers from a burger joint. We would come back to try the Charcuterie board since the service was great.

This is redemption!! The greatest flavors, even better service. I will forever come to Cured for their meats, and I will always remember Cured for the incredible flavors, and the highest quality kitchen staff in San Antonio. Thank you chef! 🙏🏼

I had a great time here with some business associates and a little wine! Both were great, not to mention the delicious, unusual food. You have to try it!

I had a lovely dinner w my Sister here at Cured. First off, the staff is very attentive to questions about menu items and to the guest's needs. Our server, Marina, was simply excellent. My Sis and I had a snacking kind of dinner with a Cheese plate, Charcuterie plate and Fried quail legs (16 of them). I must say that all of it was excellent and to my liking. I had the house Blanc wine and Sis had a cocktail called kick starter (I tasted it, delicious). For dessert we had Bread pudding. This is a great place to do a solo afternoon w your kindle as there are plenty of windows. Also a great place for a casual dinner w a group of friends and yet it's the perfect place for a special occasion dinner. The building has a very homey, comfortable, peaceful feel. I will absolutely come back here!! Try it, you will love it.
