Duck Donuts

My sons birthday is today and he requested donuts for his party instead of a cake. Duck donuts never disappoints. They created colors and toppings for his under the sea theme. Great pricing, great staff and great donuts!!! Highly recommend!!!

It was our first time at Ducks Donuts (Fort Myers location off Independence Drive)...which was highly recommended by a friend. Ducks is not the traditional donut shop where they have donuts displayed and ready for purchase. One has to order donut with/without glaze/covering, toppings, and any other extras. Donuts are vanilla cake donuts and are made to order and served warm.

The donuts were delicious, coffee was okay, and shop was clean. However, we had some issues with the employees at the shop. One employee came in to start her shift and commenced to speak very loudly in an already small area. She joked with customers and seemed friendly enough, but it was hard to enjoy our experience with her loudness.

The same employee also made a joke about the establishment having only one toaster to make breakfast sandwiches and wished customers ordered breakfast sandwiches on donuts instead of bagels or English muffins. We let her joke slide the first time, but took umbrage when she voiced it again...loudly. it made us wonder if she really got upset when customers ordered certain things off the menu because it was an inconvenience.

Another employee who prepared the donuts also had to call out customer's names or order number but one could barely hear her. It was very frustrating to have to ask her to repeat what she said, only to have her repeat it in a lower voice. We felt bad for her, but felt the establishment should have provided a microphone for the quiet employee or have the loud employee handle calling out the orders.

It seems like we are nit-picking over our one (and probably only) dine in experience, but the employees honestly made our experience unpleasant. As there are other donut establishments close by, we will probably forgo Ducks Donuts in the future.

Unfortunately I have to change my review. My kids and I love this place but
constantly having to wait over an hour for 6 donuts is insane especially when they aren’t super busy. Today will likely be my last time coming until they fix some things.

I just hit deliver 1/2 dozen of assorted donuts to my hotel. They were warm but can tell from a microwave and all donuts tasted like a REGULAR GLASED Donut!! I’m extremely DISAPPOINTED!!! Never again!!

Delicious and warm donuts 🍩 been buying from them for a while. Also their coffee ☕️is really good too. Very pleased with them. Many great flavors to choose from, I do recommend them!

Donuts are amazing especially the maple bacon and french toast donut. Kids can stand on ledge and watch the donuts being made. Will definitely be back.

My family loves this place! Fresh cake donuts made when you order. Crispy outside, light n fluffy inside. Not greasy. Their selection of creative donuts is HUGE because nothing is premade. Go. There. Now!

It was very busy and there was only one employee working. He was very nice and professional, but there should have been three people working that shift. We waited over 30 minutes for our order. The donuts were good, so were our iced coffees. I felt really bad for the employee as other customers weren't as kind about waiting.

Updated - They have addressed the bathrooms was still lacking on the charm that I originally loved this place for all the ducks everywhere. I bumped my review from 2star to 4 star. I get supply chain could be the issue with some of the merch but bring it back it was cute. Also please make a minor investment in a high chair or two!!!

Obviously not that committed to cleaning. One bathroom sink doesn’t work at all and has dried up urine on the floor. Went in the ladies bathroom and the sink worked but had no soap. This is at 8 in the morning so you were not open long enough to have urine dried up on the floor. I’ve been going to this place for years and loved it but don’t see much pride of ownership dirty tables all the time all the decorations that were throughout the store don’t get replaced. No booster chairs or high chairs for kids which kind of floors me since kids obviously love doughnuts! Love the doughnuts but this location could use some love from ownership or management.

Made the drive from Clearwater to fort Myers today and duck donuts was on the "to do" list. So yummy. Service was a bit slow and presentation a bit sloppy but still delicious. Will be back in the future
