Love dining on the patio. Very New Orleans-like feel to the whole place.

I really liked the Court Yard. We had drinks and a cheese plate that we shared. It was good. The weather was pleasant. The waitress did a good job. This establishment is definitely a little different. And that's a good thing.

We stopped in to have drinks and appetizers with my wife's friend. We had an outside table and the view, setting and atmosphere were wonderful and the appetizers were great!

Fantastic Historic building, beautifully preserved. Step back in time, rooms furnished in period furniture. Radios in the rooms tuned to a great local Jazz station. Have a drink on the upstairs porch and just watch the street cars and people. Our new favorite place to stay in New Orleans. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

they really stepped up their cocktail and food game in the past few years.

If you are looking for an amazing sophisticated food and incredible New Orleans experience Columns Hotel is a must! Historic place with unique decor from antique mirrors, light fixtures and lounge chairs to breathtaking wallpaper and black toilets 🚽. The brunch is a must! Amazing view, delicious plates. Highly recommend vegetable Crudités , quiche and the burger 🍔- all very very yummy. We had the house made cheesecake as desert- oh was it good. Incredible experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Columns. We are pretty picky about hotels and this hotel exceeded our expectations! The rooms are beautiful, clean, and a perfect blend of modern and historic. The beds were sooooo comfortable and the linens were amazing. I’m shocked by the negative reviews because this place was perfect. It is walking distance to Superior Seafood and a few other great spots. Our only regret is that we didn’t take the streetcar to downtown, it stops right in front of the hotel and makes for easy access to the French Quarter. We can’t wait to return!

While I have always enjoyed The Columns, today they greatly disappointed me and many of their loyal customers. This hotel is conveniently located on St. Charles Ave., the famous Mardi Gras parade route. As they have for many years, The columns sold passes online to patrons who wanted to use the bathroom facilities there. The passes cost $25 for the day or $150 for the whole parade season. What the Columns neglected to tell these patrons was that the gates were closing after Rex, the first of three parades that day, had passed. Some families payed over $100 for a days bathroom privileges that abruptly ended with half of the day and two parades still left. There was positively no mention of this limitation on their website selling theses passes.
I for one will never purchase these tickets again and many of our friends feel the new owners of The Columns have done a bad disservice to their long time patrons. Shame on them! They were quick to take the money, but sadly missing when his patrons expected what they paid for.

We did not stay at the hotel, but stopped by for brunch! Walking in we loved the feel of the place the outdoor garden seating and indoor area is very esthetically pleasing. However, we were seated indoors and their chairs are extremely uncomfortable. Definitely more for visual appearance than practicality. The service was...slow and disorganized....so if you’re prepared to spend a while here then it might be a great fit. Our brunch took 2.5 hours. We ordered 2 lavender cold press drinks, the creole tomato, potato hash, and fried chicken. I would recommend the food and drinks - just wish the service and comfortability matched.

I am outraged that such a beautiful location could server such tiny, weak, over priced drinks that weren't good and additionally horrible appetizers. We had 7 items neither was good. This is the opinion of a native New Orleanian. I hope the hotel guest get to experience good food and drink while in this city.
