Visiting? Definitely stop by and check this place out. Beautiful, historic bar that does not require fancy clothes. One can sit inside and admire the old-school woodwork, or sit outside and watch people and streetcars go by on St. Charles Ave. Prices are no more than any of the nicer bars in town. To date, the bartenders have been professional and attentive, even when I have been in shorts and a t-shirt. Highly recommend. Just an FYI, not really a late-night place.

I spent an splendid evening with some friends in this place. It is great to go for drinks and enjoy with friends. It has outdoor and indoor areas with a classic decoration that goes with the style of the building. The staff was nice and efficient and we had a great time. The area is plenty of old mansions with a rich history so it is interesting and nice.

There just aren't enough words to describe the amazing staff at the Columns! We hosted a rehearsal dinner and welcome party for our son and his fiance on Oct 2. Like many couples during the pandemic, their wedding was postponed twice. Fortunately, the Columns was willing and able to accomodate both date changes. While this was going on, the Columns was under new management with major renovations taking place. Then, Hurricane Ida hit New Orleans just weeks before the wedding. In the end, however, everything went off without a hitch. I want to thank Rachel Johnson, the event planner at the Columns, for her professionalism and dedication to making our event even better than I imagined. The chef, Paul Terrebone, for preparing exquisite dishes that those in attendance talked about for days. The wait staff and bartenders were equally accommodating and welcoming to everyone. This was a night we will always treasure!

Went to the columns for Christmas Eve - we had wonderful service and the food was great. I loved the old, and cozy atmosphere. They were very Accommodating for our 18 month old daughter as well. Also had live music in the bar area. I am so glad they offered a Christmas Eve menu. We will go again.

Very cool and funky interior. The wait staff however was absolutely horrible. The appetizers that we had with drinks were 100% disgusting. Could not wait to get home and rinse the taste of the food out of my mouth. One and done!

We paid for passes to the Columns property for the two Wednesday night Mardi Gras parades. Facility, Food, Cocktails and Service (By Kendall) were top notch. However even though we spent over $300+ for our evening, the manager refused to sell us passes for Thursday night festivities. We were disappointed.

We went for dinner and ate outside under the oaks. Magnificent setting on St Charles. Interior restaurant oozes with charm, as does the entire hotel. Always a great experience, so quintessential New Orleans.

Nice old place. The bar makes excellent drinks and their breakfast is delicious. I wasn't that impressed with the rooms but than again I don't care about antiques. Other people love them. Still a cool place to visit. I'd avoid their elevator if you're claustrophobic because it's very small and people have been known to get stuck in it very scary.

Sat outside to have a drink. Always a classy place to stop. Beautiful decor and ambiance.

Very good service, Nice drink selection, very gorgeous place. But we had the Broadbent country ham. Basically porkrinds (shrimp chips) with prosciutto, and pimento cheese and pickled cauliflower. Description, taste, and cost sub par. Plenty of good options looking at the menu that I'd be interested in trying but just didn't wow me.
Wouldn't seek out in future but wouldn't say no to another visit.
