If you are in the area of Commander’s Palace, you should ABSOLUTELY come here instead. Columns atmosphere and team excel the local spots in the city, The food and cocktails are extraordinary, and are on par with the best in NYC, L.A., etc. You do not want to miss this place if you’re in the area!

Been here a few times for live music. I like the atmosphere, especially when sitting outside. They have a good bourbon and scotch selection! Don't come too hungry, though. It's small plates.

We held our daughter’s wedding reception here. A very special occasion, then! There was a sumptuous banquet inside a grand room, served and managed by friendly and attentive staff. Outside it was the first day of Mardi Gras, with gigantic and bizarre floats passing along St. Charles Avenue, accompanied by cheers and dancing. It was a memorable experience.

We had a great time! Small plates were delicious. Staff was very attentive and courteous. A good place to spend your Friday night with friends.

Stopped by to have a drink, check out the movie set, and wish the happy couple good luck.

I rode the street car to Columns Hotel for a couple of happy hour drinks before dinner at Commander's Palace. The front "landing" area was pretty full, so I opted to take a seat at the well-appointed bar inside. What a great vibe with all the original wood, and period furniture and artwork. Rachel behind the bar was a great bartender and so much fun to chat with. She made me a great Sazerac and gave me all sorts of great information about the hotel and the city of New Orleans. I've found my new happy hour establishment when I'm uptown. Definitely recommend.

Historic and beautiful, I have not slept here but if you have been to New Orleans or even if you have not bring earplugs as these older beauties have creaks and noise. The hotel was a home and is now a grand in with amazing wood work, rooms all of different styles and a stunning front porch. Come take a tour and enjoy the gracious front desk attendants.( Sorry for fuzzy photo.)

Great place, fabulous service, brilliant cocktails. Went for dinner and sat on the porch, had a lovely view of the magnolia trees and the streetcars going by on the road. After dinner, went inside the decedantly styled hotel for another drink while listening to a small jazz band. Couldn't recommend stronger.

The building is a very well kept architectural gem with a regular live music schedule.
We enjoyed some tasty food and settled in to watch some excellent music in the lounge. Great experience and really friendly waiting staff.

Best Historic drinking bar in the Garden district. Live music, veranda or interior. Lovely appointed old rooms. Outstanding bartenders...somewhere along the line service such as this has lost it's polish.
