Absolutely the worst imaginable experience i have ever had. This is Hotel Hell. So grateful to be away from this tragic excuse for a hotel. I pray i never lose my mind and accidentally end up here again. Fortunately the AMAZING Chloe Hotel 3 blocks away saved the day. These are THE RUDEST people I could ever imagine in a horrifying nightmare!!! Beware!!! I wish there an option for NO stars!!!!

Nice place. Great bar. Love the new Lil coffee shop.

The event was wonderful but the old hotel could use some behind the scenes love and affection. We didn't stay overnight but the guests that did mentioned it. If you plan on eating there, keep it simple & you can't go wrong most of the time.

It is a wonderful historical home and beautiful the front desk was very nice but not a place to bring your children the bar stay open late and very loud. My family and I stayed in room 18 and the floor swayed in the bathroom and the cleanliness is horrible dust every where under the beds looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a very very long time the claw bath tub paint is missing looks dirty the sink had rust all in it I did not feel clean even after my bath.. they really need to upgrade there bathroom amenities and the owners need to come check the rooms to see the layers of dust under beds top of curtains under dressers ... the place has a great bar good food and perfect for couples that like to drink and relax and grab a room to pass out if your not OCD on cleanliness... my phone in room didn't work parking is horrible good luck trying to get a spot if your staying for a few days ...mrs. Georgia is really nice and very helpful

Not what it once was. Lipstick on the coffee cup which was replaced by a clean cup with a hair on the saucer. Server was never around and finally had to get up and go ask for a coffee refill. Food quality is great but what's the point with zero attention to service detail. There was once a time when making eye contact with any staff member got a response

The most incredible food you've ever put in your mouth. The cabbage was DIVINE and the shrimp skewers were AMAZING!

I rarely leave bad reviews. I went to the Columns for easter brunch and was seated inside after I made a reservation a month prior. The interior was so filthy and dusty especially the carpet. I asked if the menu was the normal brunch menu and was told it was. When we got there it was a $50 prix fixe menu not including drinks. The food came out overcooked and the service was bad. I WAS NOT GOING to leave this review because at the end of the day the staff was nice but my second visit was disturbing.
I went to the Columns for drinks to celebrate my friend earning his masters degree. After being seated for 20 minutes, we asked a waiter if we could order drinks. She goes, "do you know what you want or what". I was appalled to say the least. So she takes drink orders from 2/5 of our group and walks away. I was in the middle of telling her what I wanted and she walked away. My friend 1/2 who was able to order ordered a whiskey sour. She brought out a whiskey water. He nicely told her he ordered a whiskey sour and she walks away without saying sorry or recognizing the mistake. To my dismay, she reutrns with a cup filled with sour mix and says "just mix it yourself its the same thing" and walks away. I could not believe her attitude. We told the manager who was awesome and did her best to remedy the situation but at the point we saw a rat running around the tables so we decided to call it a day.

A unique hotel in a old mansion. If your going for luxury this isn't the place but if you want character and a true New Orleans experience, you will not be disappointed.
They also have a great looking bar that has live music Friday and Saturday night.
The hotel literally overlooks the trolly which can take you both uptown and to the French quarter.

My most favorite place anywhere in the City of New Orleans. Such a beautiful place to relax in. The service was wonderful. The Columns Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I could not ask for better atmosphere. Love this place

Absolutely terrible. They cancelled our reservation three days after we made it, explaining that a staff member had given us a room reserved for a wedding bloc. They were completely unapologetic, rude on the phone, and refused to make amends in any way. Don't be fooled by the charming pictures and just stay away.
